Claude and Cursor, pretty much daily — for writing code and for thinking out loud about it.
$ skills --list ai
JavaScript, HTML, and CSS every day. PHP, Ruby, and Java in past lives. Next.js or Svelte for anything new. Docker, Drone, GitHub, Jira, and Sentry keep it all moving.
$ skills --list engineering
Experienced with a variety of platforms and content management systems old and new.

Led the migration of experimentation on mongodb.com (millions of monthly visits) from Optimizely to Adobe Target — cutting the base snippet ~61% (≈94KB → 36.5KB) while keeping audiences and activities intact.

Reusable tooling so product teams can stand up experiments faster, with less one-off engineering per launch.

Built and maintained internal web apps supporting ~4,500 employees — provisioning, travel requests, and similar day-to-day workflows — with a small team.

Experience
Growth and experimentation since 2018. Web since before that.
Leading experimentation architecture for one of the world’s largest developer platforms on the public-facing website — Optimizely, Intellimize, and Adobe Target implementations, analytics instrumentation, and personalization experiences.
Worked on a specialized remote team building, testing, and optimizing digital experiences for high-growth companies across a variety of A/B testing platforms.
Co-owned a small web design and development primarily focused on building websites for the wellness/health industry.
Built and maintained internal web apps for various teams and use cases — generally full-stack and end-to-end, from the server and APIs to the front-end experience.
Primarily a Microsoft SharePoint shop — heavily designed templates for customers, plus occasional design work from product kiosks to posters.

About
I live where experimentation, analytics, and front-end development overlap — designing the test, wiring up the events that measure it, and shipping the UI that makes both happen. The engineering background keeps it fast. The design background keeps the UI accurate. The AI-assisted workflow keeps it fun and constantly evolving.
I grew up making websites before I knew they could be a career — FrontPage, Myspace layouts, then my own sites in high school. Fourteen years later I still like the design/engineering overlap more than either on its own. Outside of work I'm usually restoring old consoles I never have time to play, running a couple game servers (Minecraft and Palworld lately), recording music, or out with the goats and chickens. And chasing my daughter around the yard and keeping an eye out for what new animals my wife has brought home.
